I sell mostly knitting patterns, but I recently found a couple of crochet patterns I would like to date. They are on folded sheets, picture in black and white and just have "Design" and a number. I have seen them before, but I can't find any date. If anyone else has sold any of theses (maybe Bizzy), do you just call them "Design"? Do you know roughly when they were printed?

Some of these previoiusly came in kits. I know that Annie's Attic had a bunch of the patterns extra that they sold. If I can see them, I can let you know if that is them. There are also some other ones that are older (from the 70s and 80s). These were printed in single sheets, B&W and weren't in a leaflet or magazine format. If you can post the pictures, I can tell you for sure. Or you can e-mail the images to me at bizzycrocheting at aol dot com.

These designs were sent out in mail order. They were generally advertised in other publications and could be ordered individually. The designers that I know of that did these are Laura Wheeler, Alice Brooks and Mary Card (there may be others tho). I'm not sure who is the the designer of these without seeing the entire piece. Are they yellowed? These came from the 30s-50s, and some are even earlier such as Mary Card's. I have some here and they are very yellowed from time. If yours aren't yellowed, then they are probably photocopies.

Thanks so much Bizzy, yes, it is yellowed and definately not a photocopy. No designer name. I guess I will just list it as a Design pattern. I appreciate your help.

Amber ... I would list it as "Original Vintage Doll Outfit Crochet Pattern". Then in the description I would put the design number, etc. If it shows what size doll it fits, I would put that in the title.
