You mean you save the hair? Worth anything? I brush out gobs of it from my long haired cat not to mention the clumps I pick up off the rugs etc.

Hey Tom, who gave you permission to post my image? LMAO-- Ain't I handsome?

Saw on the Dallas news last week that a local lady there collects and hand spins dog hair and then makes different things out of them. She goes through a big process of washing spinning then knitting. Says she does real well in sells. I thought of contacting her to see if she wanted some of my siberian huskies shedded hair. I get about a 40 gallon barrel full (non compacted or course) every year from combing it out. She has just started to shed and you want to see gobs of hair flying around I have it. Hum wonder if I could sell it on ebay?

I met a lady in Raleigh, NC at a dog show. She raised Keeshonds, they are double coated & the undercoat is very fine. She grooms her dogs, saves the hair & actually makes sweaters from it! I have a Keeshond sp I know what its like. The adage is; If you don't like dog hair, then DO NOT get a Keeshond!

my persian cat sheds all year round - probably because it stays indoors under electric lights and shedding seasons mean nothing under those conditions. I know dog hair is used for knitting but cat hair? Thought of putting some outside and seeing if the birds would pick up some for nesting material but we have too much of a breeze here for it to stay in one place.

If there's a marker for cat hair, I'm gonna be rich!!!

I once saw a woman on television that would make scarves and such from pet hair people send her. I remember thinking how much people love their animals, myself included. If a beloved pet would pass on, she would make a scarf or sweater for them out of Fluffy's fur. That way Fluffy could always be there.

tom- That cat is so ugly it's adorable! I would take it in!
