Hi: maybe someone can help me with this dilemma. My email: mgrider at wi.rr.com
PROBLEM #1: When you build an auction or revise an auction on ebay, after you get into the revision page, there's a dropdown box in the options header that allows one to put in hyperlinks like your store button or the general ebay stores icon button, or "See seller's other items" hyperlink or "add me to your favorites" list hyperlink. BUT: when building our auctions in Vendio, they do not offer this feature when you are building the text in the ebay auction ads. It's a pain when you have a huge store like we do...why doesn't vendio offer those simple hyperlinks to be inserted at the time of building? Oh, the text ones you can by making your own text template ahead of time, but not the store icon.
PROBLEM #2: since when do I have to pay ebay 65 cents for a "value pack" when I have an auction with 6 pictures? Is this automatic now?
PROBLEM #3: I was used to things years ago where you could not move your pix around...so you mean it's okay now to move them from folder to folder on Vendio and it won't screw with them showing up on ebay?

You can insert links in Vendio. You highlight the text you want to have the link, then click on the tiny chain icon on the top of the html editor. That pops up a box for the address you want to link to.

Also, yes you can move from folder to folder on Vendio without screwing up your auctions. You don't need the value pack from eBay to get muliple pix on a listing if you list and host through Vendio.

Thanks, pixiamom! But here's the thing...ebay charged me 65 cents for an auction I put up the other day that was created IN Vendio--this really shocked me! Why did this happen??

ABOUT THE EBAY STORE ICON...
how do I do this in Vendio? Like I said, the text ones are easy and I have them in my premade text template that I keep in MS Word...but I can't seem to do the store icon one for "my store"...you know, the little red door one.

Pixiamom: while we are at it...why can't we do the ebay return policy if building auctions in vendio?? It's not an option on the My Account---->Ebay section or in Global Preferences in Vendio, and I can't even find it in Ebay....I notice that when a listing ends, and if it's relisted, that's one section that ebay blows away and makes you redo...it's one of those things that ebay warns you about, i.e., "some of your information" has been changed messages.

Oi! Yo! Laser Lady!
All VD is, is a glorified image host!
ALL auction sellers who have PICS in their auctions, need someplace to srore images ONLINE for use in those auctions...
One COULD use feeBay's image service, but most experienced sellers DON'T because the quality SUCKS!
Or, one could use the FREE SPACE from one's ISP (some are quite GENEROUS) but few do because the don't grasp FTP or other tech issuee...
Or, one could host one's images on a FREE IMAGE HOST! I do! There are ooodles of them out there -- Ralphie trips over new ones just about everyday!
Or, one could host one's images at so-called AUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES PROVIDORS which throw in a bunch of (dubious??) bells and whistles so they can squeeze blood out of a rock. Amongst the more well-known are: Vendio; SpareDollar; Channel Advisor...
REGARDLESS they all JUST be someplace to HOST IMAGES on the net!
THAT AIN'T GOT NUTTIN TO DO with feeBay fees!
REGARDLESS of where ya host yer images, you...still gotta pay feeBay's fees whenever you launch an auction!...

Did you have Value Pack checked on your Vendio listing form? The 65 cents gives you gallery and subtitle. Your refund policy question is a good one, try posting it on the Vendio Services board.

To all who have responded: I've never been charged for pictures by ebay before, at least not separately like what had happened this time; and NO, I do not have value pack checked in Vendio.
And to whomever hailed me as "yo laser lady", yes, I'm well aware of what picture hosting services are since I'm an ex-two time ebay powerseller and have been selling on and off for 6 years now, but this was something new and different that happened here, which is why I posted the occurrence.
I guess I'll assume that if picture exceeds one or two, that ebay is charging extra for them...I had just never seen these fees before since listing with Vendio...but maybe it's because I had 6 in the auction.

Sorry, but this way you described your concern:
"Thanks, pixiamom! But here's the thing...ebay charged me 65 cents for an auction I put up the other day that was created IN Vendio--this really shocked me! Why did this happen??"
...it appeared that you were un-aware that VD fees and feeBay fees are separate...This is a common complaint with folks who are new to VENDIO...(or, for that matter, any AUCTION MGHT SERVICE)...
If you are using VD as yer IMAGE HOST, there is no reason for you to also get charged by eBay for images...somewhere you must have an errant checkmark in a box.
So, "NO" you do NOT have to pay $0.65 for an eBay "VALUE PACK," unless, for some reason, eBay feels that you're using the VALUE PACK...DOUBLE-CHECK that page on yer SYI form at eBay & see if there is a box checked in error (happens all the time via the GREMLINS that inhabit eBay...)

I don't use Vendio to list, but from the outside, it sounds like you are posting pictures from vendio to ebay's extra image lines. You will be charged by ebay to do that. To avoid the fees, you need to place the photo's within your auction listing in html form. It would look like this in your description: <img src=yourimageurl.jpg>

Hi: say what? What do you mean "extra image lines"? I'm just using Vendio in the conventional manner. Why would someone using Vendio to host their pix end up putting pix in their ads in html format? I mean, wouldn't it be cheaper to find another pix host service? I have over 100 megabytes of photos on Vendio and cannot imagine inserting every last one in html format, but is this what people are doing routinely???
I really think I got that bogus charge because I had 6 pictures in that ad. Actually, I do not subscribe to ebay's value pack and I suppose the charge could have been more. That was the very first time since using Vendio that I had ever seen an additional picture charge from ebay. I'm going to call ebay and find out about this.

Let us know what they say, I admit I don't always check and see what eBay fees are on each auction I launch. Good catch! There have been many glitches lately, that could be a new one.

I can state you didn't get charged because you had 6 images. If you post them as html within the description, there is no charge. I as stated before, I don't use Vendio to list so I am unsure of where photo's are posted into ebay, but it does sound like they post them to ebay's extra image lines where you do get charged extra.
Your first picture is free.
The rest will cost .15 each
Or you have something else checked like an upgrade which ebay does charge extra for.

WHOOPS!! You are absolutely right! For that auction, I had a subtitle, too. Gees, I'd have skipped it if I realized I was going to incur another fee...$500 a month to the ebay/paypal monster is enough already! LOL! Thanks much, Melissa
