This morning i checked my bank statement. And i though i was dreaming, but there was my auto withdraw from e-bay 10 days early.

I contacted them and they said to me yeah we decided to change the way we withdraw from the accounts.

We may get a notice out a little later this week.

I have had the fees come out on the 1st day of the month for a year and a half now. But this week the decided it was going to be the 21st.

So i asked the guy what will be the next day and he is not sure if it will be the 1st of may but it will be different again.

So watch out, your accounts will be a wreak after this mess. Don't expect any notice other than all of your checks bouncing if the money is not there.

I really thinks these people stay up at night to find ways to f--k us over.

Are you saying that they took the money out before they even invoiced you?
I don't understand - was this a 21 day billing or something? Could it be that they didn't take it on the first and just did it late?

They hit me too - dates have been erratic (after always being on the 20th for YEARS) since they changed their billing method. My January bill was charged to my account on March 3, my February on March 31st (TWICE IN ONE MONTH!) and now my March invoice on April 21st. Makes it nearly impossible to plan doesn't it? What kind of way is this to run a business??

rpm - who did you contact about your billing? PS suppoer or someplace else? I just want the auto-withdraw to be on a set date (and I don't care when it is - just so I can plan on it!).

what i am saying is that for 18 months in a row on the first day of the month they withdrew from my account the invoiced amount that they would tell me it was.

The invoice was for $3252.00. This morning as I do everyday i opened my account to see what has come in and record the money going out and there is the e-bay invoice paid on the 21st. 10 days early.

No notice that they are changing they way they are doing it. as you can see i sell a lot of stuff and the money is moving around all the time. It comes from paypal and check and cash. I have to advance $$ on deals to get items and as i said it is moving around all of time. To make this major change and just say tuff s--t well there are just not words for me to explain it.

If the money was not there would they have suspended me and then i'd have to go through that mess. it is just stupid!!!

moody,
that was the other shoe. after i flipped out on them ,really what can you do. the problem now rests with those checks in the future. I worked all morning to get things fixed but it was just embarrsing to beg people to hold a check.

There excuse was that they changed a program that sends out the withdraws. it just went out so he said call back later this week and ask then since they were all off the weekend.

PS support is at times worthless so who knows what will happen. I will contact my person later today to see if they can get some light on this subject.

It's things like this that let you know that when it comes to e-bay they just care less about sellers. So all of those PS bashers you can have my problems they are all that we get from e-bay for being a power seller.

I stopped automatic payments because I never knew when eBay would hit my PayPal account. It was supposed to be on the 20th - sometimes they hit it on the 13th, sometimes on the 12th. Made me wonder if they needed cash for payroll!

All I can say is, "I told you so."

Glad I kept my Discover Card as my payment method. At least then, if I have a dispute, Ebay simply cannot say tough #*!@. They have to back it up.

This is why I make weekly payments via PayPal. No surprises, no administrative foul ups. Makes life much easier!!

Are they cooking the accounts for some special new thing or announcement--did they need the extra money showing fast?

I SPOKE WITH MY ACCOUNT MANAGER AND HERE IS WHAT THE COMPANY LINE WAS.

E-BAY ALWAYS HAD A 21 DAY TIME FRAME FOR WITHDRAWING MONEY FROM THE BANK ACCOUNT.

SHE SAID IT MUST HAVE BEEN MY BANK NOT BEING UP TO DATE WITH THEIR SYSTEMS.

I USE WACHOVIA THE 3rd OR 4th LARGEST BANK IN THE COUNTRY. A BANK THAT CLEARS EVERY CHECK I GIVE THEM IN ONE DAY. THEY WERE NOT UP TO DATE SO THEY NEEDED 11 DAYS TO DO THE WITHDRAW.

i ASKED ABOUT A CREDIT CARD AND SHE SAID IT WILL TAKE 3 DAYS AFTER BILLING.

SOMEONE HERE SAID IT AND IT IS OBVIOUS A MASSIVE INCREASE IN CASH FLOW WILL MAKE THE CURRENT NUMBERS LOOK GOOD.

I HAVE HIGH SCHOOL KIDS THAT WORK FOR ME THAT ARE MORE BUSINESS ORIENTATED THAN THESE GUYS

First quarster earnings have already been posted. besides, they April earnings are part of second quarter postings, not first.

You are giving way too much credit to ebays ability to be calculating (besides, falsly inflating numbers ends up causing very expensive things like SEC investigations) and underestimating their ability to not have their sh*t together.

It's much easier to not leave these kind of thigns in the hands of a comapany that has shown a staggering lack of consistancy in their billing practices and just make weekly "One Time" PayPal payments.

I use Wells Fargo and my ebay payments withdrawal has been VERY erratic ever since the "new" billing system was implemented. Before that time the payments went out like clockwork on the 21st. It HAS to be an Ebay problem.

I guess I don't quite understand. What is your billing cycle? Was the April 21 payment for your March invoice, or statement ending March 31? 3 weeks for the payment to be posted seems quite generous in that case. A month is really really stretching it! Are you paying by direct withdrawal from your checking account?

For the last 10 years my payments have been debited to either an assortment of credit cards over the years, or now my Wachovia card on the 10-12th of each month. Without fail, including this year. Perhaps I need to change to auto withdraw and get an extra ten days?

birgrit - it was the invoice for March. I am not complaining about how SOON they took the money - my BIG complaint is that you can't PLAN on when the money will be taken! I don't see how it benefits ebay either to take my January invoice on March 3rd and my February invoice on March 31st! They have, for the past two years, been taking the money for the previous month's invoice near the end of the month. I just want to know WHEN to expect it!! The weird thing was that ebay showed that I had paid my January invoice around the 20th of Feb yet I couldn't find it anywhere on my bank statement Good thing I didn't spend the money because they finally did take it on March 3rd! What kind of accounting are they using anyway that lets them have such a gap?

The complaint i have is that I just need to know when this is going to happen. Not just when they want to do it. as neglus is saying who needs to look line for line to figure when it is going to happen. we sell everyday so we need a regular payment time. I spoke with my acct rep about the weekly billing and it will only work a few days of the month for me. the time after they take their fees to the time the re-bill for the new fees. after that i will be charged the monthly bill. yes the payment will catch up next month but then you have no idea what the invoice is.

At one time they were very good with the billing then they decided to improve it. and we all know what that means when e-bay improves something!
