I have a stupid (?) question. I'm a PowerSeller, with an eBay store of 1,000+ items. I've been using Vendio for about 1-1/2 years. The Vendio plan I'm on has free unlimited listings but charges a FVF of 1.25%. Somehow I must have missed how they determine FVFs because I've been under the assumption, all this time, that those were actual FVFs...not "estimated." Each month, my bill has gone up and up and up...and up. This month's Vendio bill was unbelievable (especially when combined with PayPal and eBay...ouch!) so I started searching for a reason why. The only thing I can figure is that Vendio does NOT charge on actual sales but on what they THINK you should sell (50%? See what I've quoted below from this plan.). Am I correct in this interpretation? Also, I've searched and searched by can't find an itemized statement (such as we can get on eBay). Does this not exist...because Vendio is just estimating what they think we should sell? I could really be in a lot of trouble with this as I wanted to continue to expand my store. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all! (Mary)

<<Final Value Fees charged per item sold only, $4.95 maximum per item. Note: Average sales prices and volumes are estimates based upon an average sales to listed items ratio (sell-thru) of approximately 50% (one of every two items listed sells)>>

So Vendio is charging you on a sell thru rate that you may or may not make? BTW - those ones that don't sell but that you are chaged for... are they lowest priced, highest priced, or an average?

Ummm...Are you by chance in California? They may be able to apply that fee scheme to sellers in other states, but I don't think they can do it to California residents. Aside from being a slipshod way to price their services, it's highly illegal.

That's not how it works at all!
Vendio charges actual FVF (each charge is on your online statement).

The part about estimates and sell through refers to the methodology of choosing an appropriate plan based on average sales price and their assumption of sell through rate.

I do see that they have a new fee schedule starting May 9th. Someone finally woke up a bit and realized how much they were losing on those of us who are seasonal sellers. I always come across some unique items in the middle of the summer but didn't want to pay $14.95 for pics for just 1 auction.

I've always loved Vendio (formerly AuctionWatch) and I'd like to think there are some brighter people there than at eBay who understand that its not 1998 anymore as far as sales go.

I did get some great links to some other free websites but will be reactivating my account on May 9th for some vintage items that don't need to wait until fall or winter to put on. I know there is still the percentage but that's part of the game and I have it averaged out. I'm still paying less than 10% with all fees.
