I called them over the weekend and was told flat out "We won't ship ebay items" What the heck - our money isn't good?
Did you hear this Mike?

Sounds like you got someone with a grumpy old men complex. Danzas people are probably just pissed because DHL HQ droped the ball on them when they changed what the normal DHL would and would not ship and the lucky people at Danzas get to pick up the slack on the larger items.

You probably got some poor operator that got ripped off on ebay and just ended up getting flak from them. Didn't you know, us ebay sellers are evil.

They don't care if it's ebay items or not. Their in the business of transporting goods, ebay or not.

I wouldn't tell them your shipping ebay items either. But then again, UPS and USPS work well for me.

But how large can you ship with them is the problem. With DHL Danzas as long as it will fit in a trailer and can be picked up by a forklift it can be shipped. Danzas is DHL's cargo freight division.

If you want to deal with a company without an attitude, go with FedEx Ground with your normal items and FedEx Freight with your boat anchors.

sparkz is right. I have shipped by FedEx Ground when it was still RPS. I have never had a pkg lost & on only 2 occasions have I had a delivery problem, I have a direct account & they bill me every 2 weeks.

I don't know what you are trying to accomplish and this particular situation, but DHL is a premier International World-wide service.
We had our own PR business as far back as the late 60s and used DHL for our client SONY in Japan. They have tremendous following in Europe as well and more cache' than FedX or UPS.
Yours must have been an exception... not the rule from our years of experience using DHL. Chris

I guess I didn't make it too clear - Danzas is the one that said that - not DHL - I use DHL all the time. I never did call them back but my DHL CS said it was true, so I guess it is.

How they going to know it is ebay item you would have to tell them. Otherwise they don't have a clue do they?

Well when the lady with Danzas asked what was the name of my business, it never occurred to me that I needed to lie about it.
It just doesn't seem to be worth the trouble for a company that doesn't want my business.
