I couldn't find my original post so I had to start a new one.
Awhile back I posted how I had filed a damage claim with DHL & DSI - DHL paid but DSI didn't. I appealed and today I got a big fat check for $250.00. Well really I didn't win - my buyer did but now I'm not faced with how to handle it if he wants his money back.
I'm so happy. Thanks for all the help on how to handle this.

"my buyer did but now I'm not faced with how to handle it if he wants his money back."
Would you not have to send buyer their money since you filed and recieved the money from the insurance? Above you stated IF he wants his money back. Who does the INS carrier send insurance to the sender or the reciever or who ever files for the claim?
But very glad you won the dispute, now you can make it right, he didn't neg you did he? or do a chargeback?

Of course he gets the insurance money. What I was talking about is if DSI didn't pay - he may have wanted to return the broken item for a refund from me.
I filed all the claims and the appeal but I was happy to do it for him. He's been wonderful during this whole thing.
He did not leave me a negative as he never blamed me. He paid with a money order.
