I have had my auctions as my opening page on IE for 8 years. All of a sudden my page no longer comes up. I now am greeted with the sign-in page..no getting around it. I now need to sign on just to look at my own auctions!

Have you tried deleting your ebay cookie file?

I can view my listings with photos but when I want to access the "text only format" page I am asked to sign in.

The irony being that the "text only format" page is usually the reliable page as the number of auctions that show up on the photo listings page often changes for no apparent reason. (That's the old problem mentioned elsewhere.)

It started doing this yesterday.

I have dumped cookies and all that.

I use to could go straight to My ebay too until about the first of the year then I have to sign in most everytime I go there now. I think it has something to do with some of the IE updates from Microsoft, I keep mine current and when I last updated everything back in Jan or so with IE updates I had to start signing in. It got better after a while but at first I had to sign in every stinkin time I left the site and came back. Guess my cookie caught up with me but if I close the browser it is back to signing in. I don't keep myself signed in through ebay preferences don't want my cat to bid on stuff at

PROBLEM SOLVED. I had been messing around with my preferences and somehow the option to keep me signed on with this computer was unchecked. Everything is now back to normal.

Now there is another glitch. If you search closed listings by seller, it now forces you to log in. It is suppose to only force you to log in when you click the e-mail address box. What's next?
