My home page on internet explorer is set to go to the page which shows my seller listings. In the past (about 5 years now), my PC was turned on, IE was in my STARTUP menu and my seller listings was set to my home page. SO, when my PC was turned on, it automatically went to this page on the internet. Very convenient. I'd turn on the PC, get a cup of coffee and when I returned, the page listing all my items was on the screen with completed one day so I could see what I sold overnight.

NOW (the last few days), instead of it going right to that page, I get the sign-in page of ebay first. and it doesn't matter if the check the box KEEP ME SIGNED IN UNTIL I SIGN OUT, and I tried clearing the cache. ANy idea what's happening here?

The cookie that keeps you signed in is only good for 24 hours. If you sign on at 8 AM today, it will expire at 8 AM tomorrow. If you try to boot up at 8:05 AM tomorrow, you'll get the sign in page. If you boot up at 7:55 AM tomorrow, you will land on the page you want. But if you leave the site for a few minutes, you'll have to sign in when you return.

kidgalahad... You described my problem exactly. I had mine set the same way you did for about 4 years. I did not have the check the box to remember my sign in information because I was not signing in, just looking at my listings. Now the sign in page is everywhere. Cookies and temp files were deleted with no improvement. What to do?

sparkz.. It was not necessary to be signed in to have my seller listing page as my home page. Also had seller listing pages for friends in my Favorites and now I must sign in to view those also.

Maybedee...Now I understand what you are referring to. I thought at first it was "My Ebay" selling list. I have my secondary selling account set up the same way. I hadn't listed anything on it for awhile so had no reason to view it. I just checked, and yes, mine's doing the same thing. It's prompting for a sign in. Ebay announced a while back that they were going to do some limited testing on a few ideas to try to accomodate stores, so I suspect it may have something to do with that. Those idiots need to realize that auction search is fragile enough that they have to use duct tape and bailing wire to keep it going, and there is no way in the world they will ever be able to put auctions and stores in the same search engine and make it work for more than 30 seconds between crashes. It's going to take two entirely seperate search engines for them to accomodate stores and auctions and expect it to work. In the meantime, we get to use a search function that is only hitting on 4 cylinders.
