"please look at my feedback from many US-sellers "

Yep, I looked at the feedback. Nothing special. 210 positives with 12 negatives for non payment. Ahhhh, I don't think I will be changing my auction settings to include non USA bidders.

I have sold to many Germans on ebay and never had a problem. I think your just as likely to get a bad international bidder as you are to get a bad US bidder. In fact in the last two months I have had numerous US non payers and 0 from overseas. In my opinion the US buyers are worse than international bidders. Just my 2 cents.

12 negs for non-payment? I wouldn't deal with this deadbeat if he was in the Vatican. You don't have to go half way around the world to find a NPB. There's plenty of them here at home. I'd be happy to loan you a few of mine if you have trouble finding any.

I've never had any special problems with Germany.

The only "major" countries I don't like to ship to are Italy, Mexico, and Brazil. Mail service in these places is awful.

I absolutely, positively will not ship to most of Southeast Asia. Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, have all been nothing but trouble for me.

Just let the buyer know that if the item is sent surface rate (by boat), it can be expected to take 8-10 weeks for the item to arrive.

I love Germans and their hard currency Euros. Simply deposit them in my Euro bank account with no bank transfer charges to worry about, and quick too (often same day). No problems with shipping either - usually takes around 7 to 12 business days depending on the Deutsche Customs backlog. Also bought quite a few hard-to-find items from German and Swiss sellers over the years.

This is a person interested in one of the LPs I have listed. Can you imagine them receiving a pizza box (giggle). The German customs officials will want to open this one up for sure!

Be sure you get plenty of ants in that box. I got several of those also that you're welcome to.

Yes, but not to you. I only deal with non-deadbeats.

Only country I would EXCLUDE is...HOLLAND!

Wonderful country, but the bidders from there (for me & Ralphie) have been 100% TERRIBLE!

I would ship anywhere....as long as I had good funds in hand. From Germany, no Paypal. I have found with German buyers that they respond well to orders and rules. I tell them upfront this is THE way it is going to be. There is no other way. With Bidpay gone, that means US cash in an envelope, and tell them how much shipping will be. You will follow my orders!!!!!

The Germans and Dutch keep dinner on my table. I have had no luck in finding trustworthy Czech & Pole buyers -- I think it's partially due to their inability to pay via PayPal.

I had nothing but charge back from the Germans , They wait ten Days and they get there money back from paypal AN D I HAVE NO WAY TO PROVE THAT MY WATCHES WHERE DELIVERED .
MY POLICY NO INTERNATIONAL ALL TOGETHER BETWEEN CUSTOM FORMS AND shipping cost vary I DON'T NEED THE EXTRA HEADACHE .
I was almost suspended by paypal from the number of charges back at one time by international buyers During the holidays .
Some country's the learned the trick that all they have to say to paypal I NEVER RECEIVED ANY GOODS AND THEY GET EVERY $$$ BACK in many cases this buyers feedback is 10 or less that makes me think that they own more than one e bay account.

The scumbag at this address:

http://americanantiques.de/

was in and out of Ebay repeatedly over a two year period. He would buy for a while and build up some feedback, then eventually get NARU'd for non payment and come right back in with a different name. I was involved with getting him bounced three times for NP. The last time, he was high bidder on an Indian War cavalry sword and belt I had up, and made the mistake of including his website address in the footer of his email. When I looked at the site, I found that he had stolen my pics and had items he had previously won and not paid for listed for sale in his catalog, and even had the most recent item listed within a week of the auction's close! He didn't have any of these items because obviously I'd never shipped. There are a bunch of sellers now in Civil War and Indian War militaria who keep an eye out for the guy. His name's Norbert.

Short answer: No germans for me. Their privacy laws make them too hard to trace if you need to.

I've shipped one item to Germany, never again. High end item, outrageous Paypal fees. They received it and immediately complained there was an "old" crack that I should have disclosed. But (of course) they would be willing to keep it for a $200 refund. I told them to send it back, insured and packed the way it was shipped (double boxed) to insure no damage happened along the way. I would refund, minus the shipping fees. They kept it.

Buyers from England never left feedback. (This is how I usually find buyers have received their item.)

My "good" experiences have been with Canadians and the Swiss.

My favorites:

#1 are the JAPANESE! Just plain WONDERFUL bidders in ALL ways I can think. I wish everybody would..."turn Japanese"

#2 are da BRITS! Sweet folks -- never had ANY hassles with anybody from "that emerald-sceptered isle"

LEAST FAVORITES:

#1 are the DUTCH! Oi! What truly HORRIBLE bidders! How can such a WONDERFUL country produce such NASTY, DEMANDING, TOTALLY OBNOXIOUS bidders?

#2 are our FRIENDS UPNORTH: is whining the NATIONAL SPORT of the Land-O-HockeyPucks? Does EVERYTHING have to be an arguement?
NO! I can't ship that 10lbs scale for $3...NO! I don't accept "CHEQUES" from First Bank of Moose-Poop! Etc, Etc, blah, blah...

#3 are da FRENCH! WHY bid on a USA ONLY listing if ya donna speaka da ENGLISH??? Hey, Pierre! I took Swahili in college & I have NO clue what yer blithering about...

We have shipped to Germany several times, Scandinavia, UK, Asia, New Zealand, Italy, Greece, Australia and more.

The only non-payers we have ever had have been from the US & our own Country...Canada and we have really only had a handful in the past 5 years.

I think every Seller can relate a horror story as we have all had them..my worst was a man from New York but that sure doesn't mean I will never sell to anyone in New York, in fact we have had some fabulous Buyers there.

The point that I think is more important in your case is that the Buyer has so many negatives and I would be inclined in this particular case to tell him no.

210 positives with 12 negative...

12/210~=1/20

Its very honest buyer!!! You may not as honest as he is when you go shopping at street shops!!! When go street shop, usually 1/20 buying rate!!!

Thanks Tom! I forgot that one of my nicest buyers is from Japan.

My only deadbeats (NPB) are from the US.

digitalpearlbiz- How is he honest? He did not pay for 1/20th of the items he bid on. I can honestly say I am more honest than that. I pray to God most of the sellers on Vendio pay for items they bid on.
