Sounds like they are confused?? More likely they don't plan to pay - but I don't see why they left FB for a buyer not seller.

WOW!!!! Within 5 minutes payment was paid- I had emailed at least 3 times got nothing. Then when I saw the feedback, I filed. IT WORKS

About once a year, a newbie leaves feedback (always positive!) before I've even mailed the item. It confuses me at first until I've figured out what's happening.
I'll say again--eBay should have a short quiz on how to use feedback BEFORE a newbie is allowed to bid on an item.

I seem to get them every once in a while to. They leave positive feedback and then never pay. I have vendio setup to do automatic feedback and originally I had it set up to do it as soon as I received it. I have changed it to a 1 day wait. That way if they leave feedback for me and have not paid yet I have time to turn off the automatic feedback system for that buyer's order. Then I just wait the normal time frame and if they still don't pay I file the UPI dispute.

I had a buyer last week that left me a positive feedback that said something like; Nice little antique radio fast shipping A+A+A+. The only problem was that I didn't sell him a radio, I sold him a watch and he hadn't paid yet. I waited a couple days and he paid by Paypal, so I sent him his watch. Maybe i'll give him positive FB that says something like; Use the watch to time the songs on the antique radio A+A+A+.
Another transaction that seemed kind of strange was a guy that had won two of my items and he paid with a bank cashiers check. In the envelope he included a magic marker written note that said; DO NOT LEAVE FEEDBACK. I need to email him and ask him to explain why.

Pi: I had a buyer who didn't want feedback left. Her explanation was a bit garbled, but reading between the lines I figured out that she was eBaying at work, using her work computer, and didn't want her boss to know by getting feedback. Weird. Wouldn't the boss know anyway if he needed to snoop in that computer???
Another reason could be that spouses are both using the same computer and the purchase is a surprise gift for one of them???

Several years ago I had a dispute with a gal in Providence RI. She sent me a scathing feedback, except she put in the positives. I never heard from her again.

I made the mistake once. I used my sellers ID to make a purchase and sure enough, I wrote that the payment came quickly. The seller never did respond to that.

WELL, I am not the buyer - they are. I have had this happen before but from sellers who purchased and just leave the same feed no matter what!
This person is not a seller, at least their feedback of 80 does not indicate.
Okay, I've seen this pattern before. They are attempting to get as much feedback as possible that makes them look like they are a seller (it'll confuse most newbies) at first glance until you see they were the buyer in the transaction. Next step for them is to start selling non-existant items or bootlegs before they are NARU'd. Seen it happen time and time again in certain categories.
