I used to live in Berwick and worked in Bloomsburg -- Wilkes-Barre apparently is being evacuated? They suffered a devastating flood back during Hurricaine ?Agnes?

Looks like they're doing rescues in BLOOMSBURG!

Oi! Where do you live? Hopefully not near the SCHUKYILL or DELAWARE RIVERS!

pepsiCo:

W-B was also destroyed in the 1970s by some HURRICAINE -- I think it was Agnes?

DEVASTATING...OTOH: the place is a DUMP!

Tom...Are you aware that the main storm responsible for the lion's share of the flooding in Pa and DC originally had you and Ralphie in it's sights? It floated for about a week between the Bahamas and Florida, but could not get organized enough to develop into a troppical depression or storm. When it started moving, it headed northwest toward NC and encountered enough high level wind shear to keep it from developing further. If it had headed west instead, it would likely have met friendlier waters and conditions and developed into Tropical Storm Beryl, and come ashore between St. Augustine and JAX. That BT is lucky. Next time, let him pick the lottery numbers for you.

Oi! What a racket! I'm sitting here at my PC & he's behind me, sleeping on the kitchen floor, literally vibrating the walls!

But, at least his tummy is all better now! Finally after 4 months!

Agnes!!! That brings back the memories/nightmares! We had just bought and moved into our first house when Agnes rolled through Maryland. We were lucky compared to some of our neighbors but try to convince first time home owners that an inch of water on the basement floor was not a disaster. Think powder blue, long shag carpet squares floating an inch off the floor! Powder blue, long shag (we had to get a rake for the vacuum cleaner)... How 70s. Now that is a true nightmare! :-0

We were on the fringes of this mess. The worst of it is about 1 1/2 hours east/southeast. This got past us and then slowed down.

The big flood of '72....now THAT was horrible! Waist deep water down Main Street, coffins washing up and floating downstream, cars and trailers (homes) in the middle of cornfields. Alot of people lost everything in that one!

Tom...She might be without power or phone service. Then again, after her experience with the hurricane, at the first report of trouble, she might have caught a flight to Honolulu and is riding out the storm on the beach with a Mai-Tai.

My brand new house is now floating down the Delaware river, looks like Noah's Ark.

Just kidding, no flooding near me, I don't live near the river.
Tell you what though, with all the rain I was afraid the ground would soften too much & one of my hundred or so trees would come down.
I really like it here, but honestly I'm scared to death of the trees.

Tom wouldn't Ralphie have a ball here.
He could chase wild animals & take a whiz on every tree.

sparkz If I had any sense I would have hopped a flight to Honolulu.

Forgot to say...I live in Delaware County, PA
