There is an easy way to see if items were sold on eBay Express in MY eBAY. Customize the Display to show 'SOLD ON'. You can sort on this field, so it should be easy to pick out Express sales. I'm still opted out of Express but I'm curious if any other Collectibles sellers have seen Express sales?

Ebay, in their infinite wisdom, is doing its best to kill Ebay Express. They have the most obnoxious series of pop-up banner ads running on several sites that I have ever seen. They are sharing space with many of the shady companies, such as the refinance and mortgage hawkers. I suspect they'll probably be extending their advertising to offshore gambling and porn sites before long.

smart search has nearly put me out of business. I have a couple of items that i sell as low mark-up add ons for when i sell other items.
Well the ebay express picked them uppp and I sold over 250 of them last month.
The item sells for $42 with ship and cost me $38 so I clear $4. A $1000 net, but this smart search seemed to close off everything else i am selling.
The way i make money on this item is that it brings in a lot of cash, I pay the owner once a month for this item and i get the cash flow to buy and sell the other things i sell. Since the smart search seemed to block the other stuff from selling i am holding a lot of unsold items and now i got to pay for this loss leader item.
So I have cut off this item for a while and boom, zowwie I sold 200 items this last week from the other stuff. Same stuff thats been there all month now. i am shipping and listing to get caught up.
First they lie to us about the store search, we go down that road. Then they pull up the bridge and we all fall off.
Then we set things up to work with this bullsh..t and we are in a narrow search nightmere.
I use to have worldwide coverage and now i get the bulk of my sales from the northeast. An area that all ready has real stores that sells the stuff i sell (coins and Stamps.
I get e-mails from my regular buyers in Europe that want to know why they can't find me!
These planners at e-bay either need to stop the drugs or get on them quick because they are so f.k.ed up.

Interesting, RPM. I opted out of Express thinking it might improve the search (jury still out). Over half of my shipments last week were international and it's NOT that I'm getting more international sales - I'm getting fewer US ones. Maybe they aren't playing with search on the international sites?

today i am going to list a bunch of things in the foreign groups i am hoping for sales.
The thing i was noticing on my loss leader was that i use to get a lot of sales from the west and southwest. then none. The northeastern crowd all want a reduced price and deals on this or that. The western group just bought the stuff and no questioned asked. The same was true for the folks from Europe.
