I purchased 3 Limoges France cups and saucers recently. I know that they are at least 100 years old, but I can find any information on the backstamp.
It's the red part with the rooster I can't see. It is very blurry on the saucer, and this is the best copy. It says Limoges France, but there is something that looks like Bocline Allaudud or allaidaud. I have looked through over 300 Limoges patterns on Replacements, and can't find it.

If my mush-memory serrves, here goes:
LIMOGES sold ooodles of BLANKS to oooodles of ARTISTS CLUBS and GROUPS who then decorated the BLANK with ooodles of whatevers...
So, I'm guessing that the SECOND stamp is the ARTIST'S stamp, and, since the COCK is a symbol of FRANCE (from "Chanticleer" I think???), this is a FRENCH artist....

Thanks Tom, I guess there is no way of finding out any more then. There also looks like a capital AD in black, would that also be an artists initials, or factory mark?

Could it be L. Bernardaud? Couldn't find it with a rooster. (I'm trying with the name.) Couldn't find the "AD", although I found several others.

No, I don't think that is the name. There are 2 words with a space between, each starts with a capital letter then small letters. It could be Bociete Alluaud, it's small and smudgy.

Societe Alluaud. http://www.rubylane.com/shops/irishanntiques/item/LCS1004
this cup and saucer has the exact same markings as mine, but they don't know what they mean either. I appreciate those who tried to help.
