I got a fake second chance offer yesterday for an item that I had bid on. it was for the amount that I bid and was sent to the correct email address. How do they get your email address?
Also, my sister got a paypal spoof a few months ago that was the best I had ever seen. It even had her full name in it. The link in that one was something like this but I don't remember exactly what was after paypalcom http://www.paypalcomfsgfmglfg.com/gfgdgdgdg
I noticed the missing s after http before I noticed the missing dot.

Are you sure it was fake? In my case, I record the e-mail addresses of all high bidders at the time, then send out second chance notices directly from my e-mail (if needed), not through ebay. The high bidders e-mail address is visable to the seller while the auction is still running, but the lower bidders it is blocked from view.

Yes, it was fake. It was for a vehicle. I wrote to the seller and they said they didn't send it and the vehicle had already been picked up by the high bidder.
I do sell but didn't have any strange questions since bidding on this item.

I have a separate id for buying only. After I buy some things, I get a lot of spam. When I don't buy for a while, I get no spam.
Someone must have figured out a way to get email addresses from completed sales?
