I usually just gently shake it upside down but I do use a soft brush paint brush occasionally to knock the dust off.
Sometimes if the key tops are looking dirty, I unplug it and use a slightly damp cloth to wipe off the grime, but if you try this make sure to wring it out enough that no moisture can get under the keys.
