Mesage from eBay--
Jamie Iannone
Hello…I'm Jamie Iannone, senior director of product marketing, and I'm excited to tell you about a two-day promotion that starts at midnight tonight.
By now, you've probably seen Bill Cobb's message about resetting the balance of the eBay marketplace and bringing eBay.com's auction-style and other core listing formats back to center stage. Auction-style listings deliver the signature eBay buying experience, in addition to being the fastest way to sell online. These listings are eBay's foundation – and going forward, we're going to be doing more to encourage a higher proportion of auction-style listings on eBay.
As a start, I'm excited to tell you about our “Back to Basics” promotion. Starting at midnight tonight, we're holding a two-day sale on core listing formats (Auction-style or Fixed Price) for eBay.com and eBay Motors Parts & Accessories. Please click here for full details on this promotion.
We hope you take full advantage of this great promotion!

Now that would take the cake. Raise store fees, make permanent the special listing day fee hike. Then have the system crash. Just another day at Ebayville.

Irked - or anybody - if I relist something tomorrow, will I be charged the 20 cents or the original listing price? I have a bunch of little losers that I may try again.

Oh, one more question: Do the relists for the special deal have to start and end in one of these two days? Or can I schedule them to start, say, on MOnday?

Road thought you knew about listing on special listing days. OH well, you have to launch them tomorrow and Friday to get special price.

Just remember, 3 day auctions launched tomorrow will end on Sunday. Might be a good time to experiment with 3 and 5 day auctions. A ten day auction will end Sunday of next week, but the dreaded 10 day fee will apply.

I had a good sell thru on the last 3 day auctions I listed, but I have not tried it when the site is over-loaded from a .20 listing day.

Any bet that they're doing this in part to hide the huge number of listings that they're losing due to store closures? I'd be willing to bet that they'll have another one right before August 22nd....
