I have briefly looked at Yahoo Auctions.
It states Yahoo Auctions are free for Yahoo users.. Is this for real ? No Fees??

I know Yahoo is no comparison to Ebay for
for a high volume of buyers but Ebay is really putting the squeeze on sellers with all the rate changes.

I feel that Ebay is being a LITTLE GREEDY.
Just think of all the accounts they have for sellers. I don't think they are loosing money.. Correct me if I am wrong..

I am just a part time seller on small end items, but it still digs into you pocket when you list. I use Vendio for listings and photos, which also had an increase in fees awhile back..
Yes,I have already read the post on the fee changes here..

Just wanted to see what you guys have to say about Yahoo.

Have A Great Day

Forget it! Sell thru rate is terrible.
We went back on Yahoo auctions a few months back. So a few things, but had 75% not pay!

We have about 50 more items listed and just waiting for them to end and thats the end of Yahoo auctions for us.

Shame too, cause this was one hot site in the early days. We used to sell so much more than ebay but last year has been terrible on Yahoo auctions.

Save yourself some time and forget it unless you have a lot of real slow sellers and just want to park your stuff on a site for free.

Nothing is further from the truth. Fact is, eBay has 10 times the NPB's as Yahoo. I list at Yahoo for the simple fact that it is FREE. Yes, FREE. Yes, you will not be keeping food on the table with Yahoo, but they are still a viable option for a second auction site. I have done well over the summer so far there. In fact, out selling ebay the past two months and not one deadbeat.

Keep in mind, Yahoo will not replace eBay, but is a very good site to at the very least, keep your items visable on the internet.

While I'll certainly admit the sell-thru rate at Yahoo is pretty low, I have not experienced any real problem with Non-Payers.

It's completely free, and once you get your stuff set up in a bulk-loader CSV file, it's almost no effort to upload the file every week or two.

Yes, it's slow, but it does bring in the occasional sale and it is free and easy.

Why NOT Yahoo?

p.s. Even if you DO get an NPB, so what? Just relist after two weeks. It's not like you pay FVFs or anything.

That is a very good point.

My only bi(t)ch would be I had it off the market on all my sites for those two weeks. Small price to pay though. (Time)
