A couple of weeks ago when my store items were not showing up in my store search, I updated them all by adding the phrase "Thank you for looking at my auctions", or something similar. I now find that this is what is added to my auctions. "Op Jul-14-06 om 05:11:45 PDT heeft de verkoper de volgende informatie toegevoegd:" I suppose it means the same thing, looks like Dutch to me. Anyone else had this problems? Should I try to correct it, if so, how?

No, it says: "On July 14th (time), the seller added the following information:" It looks like Dutch. I don't know how you'd correct it since it's an eBay generated tag. Live help perhaps? Did you do a bulk edit?

Wow! Were you accidently on the Dutch site somehow? I don't think there is an easy way to edit it out except one by one. The ebay bulk editor won't remove text. If you end your listings and relist through Vendio, the additional text will be removed.

Yes, I did it with bulk edit, I wanted my 650+ store items to reset so that they would come up on the store search. No Neglus, I have never been on the Dutch site, I did it through My eBay, on the US site. There is no way I am going to change them all manually, guess I'll call eBay tomorrow, I have never had much help form "Live help".

Try the bulk edit again to add the text again and explain you don't know what happend with the foreign text above. State above text is Ebay dollars at work and you have no idea what it says. LOL

i'm glad to hear it's not just me! i happened to be at a point the other day in eBay where i reviewed the FAQs we can do for buyers. mine were all in Italian, every question and every answer...and i did NOT write them in Italian. i couldn't write them correctly in Italian if my life depended on it!

unfortunately...live and learn yet again...i had no backup copies of my eBay FAQs. so, i deleted them. grrrr...i regularly back up my "about me" page, store header, bbl, etc. just never dawned on me to back up the FAQs!

Well, I don't know what is going on, last night, they had changed to French, now, they are back to English. It's not a big deal, just an added comment I had to add to re-set my store items, but it's a bit strange!

They are all back to normal now. I don't know what happened, maybe they were trying out their translation skills.

Yeah, there testing a new feature all right. They will probably launch it tomorrow evening after everyone list after the 1/2 price sale. Your entire text in your listing's will be translated into a language no one speeks.

Mike...The language they will use in all of tomorrow's listings will be Dutch. It'll give a whole new meaning to the definition of a Dutch auction.
