Just like to check my ebay setting's every once in a while to make sure ebay hasn't changed them and guess what, they have. I was checking my Cross Promotion setting's which I "had" set to do not participate. Well they moved the setting's to "Marketing Tools" now and guess what, they turned them back on. So you may want to check your settings if you "had" them turned off to not participate in cross promotions because you are now probably set to participate. Sneeky SOB's. They just love redoing my setting's all the time.

Mike,

You're talking about: Promote Similar Items, correct?

It took me awhile to work through all of the settings to get to the one we all kinda had a problem with in the past.

Cross Promotion isn't a bad thing when it's your own items. It's kinda wonky to invite other sellers into your transactions if you're in a very competitive category.

The best way to have eBay not change that is to specify a trading partner. I have neglus as mine. Everyone of my closed ads show her postcards, which is fine with me. Just a thought, if you know someone with a non-competing but perhaps complementary product, just choose them as your SOLE cross promo as it doesn't seem to change.

Mine hasn't been changed. Mine is still set to no.

Vintage seems to have hit it on the head. I set mine up to cross promote between my items and my brothers items. Only those are showing for either of us. No other crap from any other seller.

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO, GET YOURSELF A TRADING PARTNER ASAP TO CROSS PROMOTE YOUR ITEMS.

That does sound like a good idea. Would anyone here like to volenteer?

I would be glad to add you to my list, just give me your ebay moniker. Mine is vintageads4u

PS: Would not hurt my feelings if you are looking for someone with products more complementary to your own.

Beth - That sounds good. I have sent you a request through ebay to set up the connection with you for cross promotion. My user ID is mikes4x4andtruckrepair. I guess the request will be in your ebay message box. Thanks
