I just got a negative feedback from a deadbeat buyer that did not pay, or respond to an auction that ended on 5/24!! I left him a negative, I believe all sellers should be warned about nonpayers, on 7/12, after numerous emails, nonpayment dispute, final value fee granted, etc. And he had the nerve to post a negtive feedback to me after 4 + months. His feedback to me reads, " Negative feedback rating
POOR EBAYER! WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN. LOSER!
We NEVER did business, you never paid!! He has a -1, my feedback. Is there no statue of limitation on stupidity!!

They started new feedback thing where if they do not respond to the NPB their feedback does not count against you if it did you need to email ebay.

You have a choice before you:
You can get upset every time you have an encounter with a loser who leaves you negative feedback. You will have other such encounters, since you have absolutely no control over this.
or...
You can decide here and now that feedback doesn't matter. You have total control over your own attitude.

Thanks irked, I will check that out.
Fluffy, you are right, I do not blow it out of proportion like I used to, but really, I had to vent. They can leave feedback after 4 months when they didn't pay, respond, etc!! What a crock!!

Just be sure to respond to their neg on your feedback page stating facts they are NPB no response etc.

Why. Do what the smart people do and simply respond to their neg with a note that states that it is a retaliation to the neg you left for non-payment. The other potential bidders will see that and bid accordingly.
You did the absolute correct thing by leaving a negative feedback and should continue to do so.

Thanks for the advise, I did reply to the neg that this was retaliation for neg for non payment. I still think if the buyer does not pay and does not at least respond, they should be barred from leaving feedback on a transaction they did not complete. I filed a report for removal, but I do not know what will happen there.
I will not remove the neg I gave them and I will continue to give negs when buyers just don't pay.

I'll pipe in to add that like many sellers here I'm happy to wear the ebay RED badge of honour (negative feedback) from non-payers, many of whom are now -2 or worse, NARU'd or defunct. If you leave unemotional feedback stating that said buyer never paid nor made contact, then other buyers will not be dissuaded by the relevant negative or neutral feedback. You can even ask satisfied buyers if you can use them as character references and their glowing feedback comments in your sales pitch. I have such a page on several of my websites and it seems to be effective in turning visitors into customers going on past emails.

I'm with you! Shoot them! I also agree that non payers, non responders should not be allowed to leave negative feedback. If you sell a lot on Ebay, you will run into these fools. I've gone as far as to offer a mutual withdrwal if they will just respond and still they don't so they get a neg. I wait the required 7 days and file and leave my feedback and don't look back. I've only had one of them that left me a neg for me giving her a neg and it stands as my only neg that counts. I had only been selling for a 11 months at the time and she was trying to use that neg as blackmail to get me to agree to a mutual withdrawal of the negs. She was a newbie that only had 4 feedbacks and she got 2 negs within days of one another. Seems that a lot of auctions blocked her. I stood my ground and refused to give in on it since it wouldn't have been fair to other sellers or Ebay in general to let her get by with it. Like I told her, that one neg does not hurt me and the neg you got from me hurts you bigtime, so it stands. The funny thing was that I saw my other buyers actually came to my defense in their feedbacks they left right after she left hers. As bad as some of the buyers can be there are also a whole lot of nice ones out there
