Cash would work, too.
Also, a check drawn on a US Bank in USD.
We've had a few buyers who lived near the border or had reasons to have checking accounts in the US -- and those buyers have come back again and again...
Why not accept PayPal from Canada?
If their buying record is good and they didn't start their account last week - we accept PayPal. Just wondering....

As far as PayPal is concerned, PayPal payments from COMFIRMED CANADIAN ADDRESSES are NOW covered under PayPal's Sellers' NON-PROTECT Policy...
Thus, if ya accept PayPal from USA buyers, there's now no real reason NOT to accept CANADIAN PayPal payments, as long as ya ship via a method that provides ONLINE TRACKING, such as:
1) UPS STANDARD to CANADA
~or~
2) USPS GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL
If it is a LARGE amount, I prefer: DIRECT BANK-TO-BANK WIRE TRANSFERS -- for my BIG deals, I eat the $12 my bank charges to receive the moola...
For small deals, the buyer can always send:
1) INTERNATIONAL POSTAL MO IN USD (pink)
2) BANK MO drawn on a USA BANK in USD...
3) WESTERN UNION
4) GOOD OLE USA GREENBACKS!

Along with suggesting Postal money orders in US funds, and cash in US dollars, I also suggest this for my Canadian customers:
https://auctionchex.com
AuctionChex is a service that lets your bidders send them payment through a variety of methods (including Paypal) which they convert to US dollars, and then send you a check in US funds. It works kinda like the old Bidpay did. I hope that helps!
