I had my first Google Checkout order from my web site and I have to say it blows PayPal away! It's great. No wonder eBay is not allowing it.

I got my first payment last week. I've been signed up for at least a month, so I can't say it's sweeping the payment world.
It does seem nice.
Question: Does the money go straight to your bank, or does Google keep a balance that you have to manually deposit like Paypal? It looks like it keeps a balance, but I don't see a deposit link anywhere.

Dr. Arcane - You should have been asked for your bank information when you signed up with Google Checkout. This from Google: "Google will initiate payouts within two business days after you charge an order; however, your bank may take up to three additional business days to register the payout in your account. Please contact your bank representative if you'd like more information about the timing of fund transfers into your account." I believe it goes automatically into your bank account.

OT -Has anyone used google's gbase yet? I have posted a few things up there in the past and just listed two more new items. I have yet to receive an email from a listing there.

I was a beta tester and found it easy to integrate and use on my websites. Also if you use AdWords then it's basically free which sure beats the pants off PayPal!

This is seriously strange. As I said above, I've been signed up for Google Checkout for at least a month, maybe even two and had no payments through them. I've never had an order through them until about a week ago, and now I suddenly have several more.
Is Google advertising? Is something switched on now that wasn't before?
