I can't decide what to do with this. In one of the boxes of "inheritance" I found 2 delicately wrapped pieces of fabric, a huge old abacus, some japanese paint brushing equipment, some other unique items and a wooden box that sides open and carved out to hold exactly what is inside. I'll describe that one later. It's almost like someone was trying to hide this thing. Kind of weird.
First for the fabric.
They are beautiful! I believe they are pre- during WWII. I know the owners and when they were in Japan. They look like silk brocade. An intricate design one side. Turn it over and it has a different design. One is about 1 yard. The other is heavier and is a couple of yards long. There is also a tapestry in the box. The fabric is better than the tapestry. It could be framed but you would need a two sided frame so someone could view both sides.
Where to go with it? Where do I start?

Check under Antiques - Asian and see what are the options. Also antiques - textiles.
I had a friend that sold a Japanese Paint Pot for which he got a very nice return. In the hundred I think but that will depend on the quality.
