Mozilla released Firefox 2.0 today and it's pretty cool. All my weird eBay headers are gone and so are the pesky problems with eBay's back button. Words not in god-knows-who's dictionary are gently outlined in red when I'm in the Vendio listing form and forums. I went to my Google search bar and it provided search suggestions via drop-down that I've never searched for before. (I wanted to look up Toadstool park NE - and all I had to type in was 'toadstool p' and Toadstool Park NE dropped down - wish it worked like that on eBay searches!

I just did an update; I never wipe it out, just update. It kept everything except my custom tool bar (one of the Firefox extensions with different graphics was all) which defaulted to the standard one. Can't say I noticed much difference except for the spelling ...which IS very gentle!

sorry forgotten how to make a link.
Bookmarks missing after installing Firefox 2.0 on Windows ?
Quite a number of people using Windows are reporting that their bookmarks are missing after upgrading to Firefox 2.0. This problem is apparently related to the installer not properly exiting all running Firefox processes (bug 357922). In this case, the bookmarks are not lost. To restore the "missing" bookmarks and fix other problems that may be related to the upgrade: Uninstall Firefox, delete the Firefox program folder (usually "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" and reinstall Firefox 2.0. The bookmarks will be back to normal (you may need to reinstall some added plugins).

Best thing about the new Firefox (in my opinion) is that it has a built-in spell check! It works in any web form that you are filling out. (it just underlines the word in red). It's fantastic!

The "missing" bookmarks problem is specific to the FireFox 2.0 build for Windows. Macs and Linux users are unaffected.
