Q: there is a good chance this will go quite high , so i need to ask a few questions before i bid. Firstly can you send me a better scan to my e-mail address XXXXXX if not can you comment on the following. You say the card is a bit edgy but its not apparent from the scan . does the scan show the full image? also there is no caption , is that right? regarding the clarity , from the scan it appears not so clear and sharp in the detail of the people etc. is the actual card sharper than the scan ? any bent corners or creases within the body of the card ? sorry so many things.
How could I refuse? I attached more scans, answered his question and posted the answer to the listing. I originally misspelled a key word that would bring a lot of traffic and it got a bid before I could correct it. His question gave me a chance to include the spelling correction in my answer.

Your auction, certainly, and your business, but I think I would have cancelled the one bid and ended the auction early if I'd screwed up a key word.
The answers to questions at the bottom of the page are not, as far as I know, searchable.

By gosh, you're right. I'm sure I fixed misspellings in the past this way. I considered ending the auction, it's for a real photo postcard of a London tram station with a glimpse of the synagogue (or synagocue, as I spelled it) next door. I decided the tram station has the greater market and the synagogue shoppers will find it with key word Judaica in the description. It already has a large number of watchers. I don't want to antagonize any that plan to bid by ending early, but it's a tough call.

I am terrible for making spelling mistakes, but the way I get round it is to do all my descriptions on a Word file, and it marks all my mistakes. Makes listing quicker also.
