Possibly part of a "Pickling Jar"? Perhaps a beer brewing part? Doesn't it say something about "BREW" on the side?

Don't think it's a spittoon, the target is too small. I believe it is part of a larger piece. No idea what it could be.

Not a spittoon, the piece is hollow, I will list it as a brewery piece of some sort ....

Did you try googling the name of the brewery?

Is the bottom open? Could it be a chicken feeder/waterer?

Can you make out the name of the Brew Company?

It doesn't look like a newer piece of stoneware to me. I collect blue and white stoneware and I have not come across anything with this particular shape. When you say it is "hollow" do you mean it is completely open at the bottom? Can we see the bottom of it?

Never mind, I see you have already listed it. Good luck with it.

Yes I already listed it as a mystery piece, I belive it to be a piece that fits onto another in a brewery. Appreciate all the ideas, this is what happpens to me when I impulse buy at auctions!

You have a scarce, early piece, even though only part of a larger piece.

I recommend you change your category pronto to Collectibles: Brewerania, or the beer collectible people might miss it completely.

Unfortunately it is too late to change your title, the name of the brewer and Grand Rapids in it would have helped a lot.

If it's rare and has the potential to go much higher with a GOOD title then you can cancel the bids, end the auction and list it properly citing an error in the listing. You should email the bidders to let them know what you are doing and send them a link to the new auction number. Error correction does not ALWAYS have to benefit the bidder.

You should list in the brewerania category as upriver suggested and use the key words to your (and collectors') advantage.

It's Pre-prohibition, and should be listed this way. -----
Collectibles > Breweriana, Beer > Pre-prohibition

WOWZERS!!! That really jumped up in the last few minutes of the auction.

I'd still be interested in knowing what that piece went to. I wonder if the high bidder knows?

This auction shows us that unique and hard to find things are still getting good money. It's all that run of the mill stuff that isn't getting any bids on eBay lately.

Good job!
