Today, as I pulled into my local flea market, I couldn't help noticing 7+ police cars pulling into the parking lot.
At that moment, about a dozen police officers, representatives from RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), and officers from ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) started running thoughout the flea market and starting to arrest about a dozen (maybe more) sellers for pirated CD's.
Not only did the police confiscate every CD, but also other items the people were selling (boomboxes, electronic, etc).
The funny thing is - it seems they were only going after ONLY Spanish/Latino/Mexican artists CD's. People selling rock/pop/rap (English language) CD's seemed to be left alone (perhaps those were either legitimate CD's or I just left too early).

It just depends on who you are. I know of a tech swap meet that's been held once a month in the parking lot of a large Methodist church in Phoenix. The swap is sponsored by the church's Boy Scout Troop, space rental fees go to them. There's a guy who is there every month without fail who sells pirate software and makes no bones about it. Want the latest Final Cut Pro?, How about Adobe Creative Suite? Maya? Will that be for Mac or PC? Everything's 10 bucks and the guy sells GOBS of copies. The Phoenix PD runs the entry gate and patrols the meet.
