Are there any rules about how many bid retractions a person can have? I have a buyer that when I looked at her feedback, she has 41 bid retractions in the past 6 months, which really is in the last 3 weeks since that is how long she has been bidding. She has been registered longer she has only started bidding for the last few weeks. I was just wondering if Ebay has any rules or they just report it on the feedback page and that is it.

I think there is some kind of rule regarding bid retractions, but I don't think ebay puts much priority in enforcing it.

Sounds like a newbee who hasn't discovered "Watch This Item". With "Watch" she can pick and choose her future purchases without placing a bid until she's made her final decision. If she wins your item(s), maybe you could clue her into an alternate way of shopping eBay.

There is a rule regarding bid retractions, but like most things eBay, it is a deep dark double-dog-dare secret rule that we are not allowed to know fully.
That is to say, a "certain number" of bid retractions is considered unacceptable. eBay doesn't say how many that is.

I wish no one discovered the broken "Watch" system.
In this case, it is either another seller using their buying ID as a way to raise prices on other items so their will sell or someone that is bidding on many of the same item and retracting the ones she don't win.
