I decided to list with google base of course I only listed one thing signed up and got google checkout and intergrated it with my ecrater store also. But my question is if I did not sign up for Adwords will there still be any charges for listing or anyone who clicks on the link to that listing? In other words is there any cost involved if I DID NOT sign up for AdWords. I was guilty of thinking again (G) I had to sign up for Adwords to be charged for anything????

I've had a lot of luck with Googe base and Google Checkout and I have NEVER tried Adwords, so no, it's NOT a requirement.

I'm going to post a number of vintage paper items on Google Base in order to test the waters.
In regards to Google Checkout, I doubt if I'll use it, because they require the seller to give Google Checkout their Social Security Number.
I've used eBay and PayPal for years and neither one of them have my SSN. I'm extremely leary of giving it out to anyone these days because of the ever increasing threat of identity theft.

I saw that about the SSN I verified my checking account but it didn't ask for SSN at that stage. Not until I went into another page just looking around did it ask me to enter that and I just skipped it. Will see what ahppens by not entering it if I do sell anything and they use google checkout.
