UPS has for some time been restricting the number of shipping labels you can order when you open a UPS account, so it is no longer possible to get a vast number of the 2-up UPS labels on eBay.

Now, several sources report that a FedEx lawyer, possibly with eBay's cooperation, is going after eBay sellers who are auctioning free FedEx labels.

A number of long-time label sellers I've been tracking were abruptly NARU'd in September, October and November of this year. One tried changing her eBay ID to avoid detection. It didn't help. This lady had racked up over 5,000 sales. Kind of amazing in retrospect that it took FedEx that long to catch on.

There are a few hopefuls still trying to sell the FedEx labels, apparently believing that if they excise the border logo in the auction picture, FedEx won't come after them. It's obvious, however, what they're selling since the FedEx sheets are 1/2 label and 1/2 receipt.

Fed Ex can get nasty! Do you remember when they went after the guy who furnished his house with furniture made from Fed Ex boxes?

"NOTE: I do not reccomend fedex furniture if you are looking to impress a date."

IMO, FedEx has a fairly good case against him for trademark infringement, since he uses a logo on his site substantially similar to the real FedEx logo.

It's about time. Do you know if FedEx is just pushing for NARU's or are they also going after the ex-sellers for damages?

I still think FedEx should have used the furniture guy in an ad or two (like: our boxes are so strong, your crap is sure to arrive safely!) though I suppose that would have encouraged more misuse.

"UPS has for some time been restricting the number of shipping labels you can order when you open a UPS account"

I've heard that sellers are getting around this by opening a new account in the name of the winning bidder and then UPS ships the labels directly to the buyer but I don't know if that is an old board tale or not. Do you?

Don't know yet. I've emailed a few of the NARU'd folks but no responses.

As for the UPS labels, the original technique was to use your own UPS account but specify a different shipping address for the labels. You could do that, since the apparent thinking was that a company might have offices in many different places.

I have heard (but not verified) that new accounts have the label restriction.

I ordered some last year from a guy and it was addressed to me with Net Dropshipper in the address. I did this out of curiosity and got 200 labels sheets 400 labels I guess. Have not used but about 6 of them just to see if it prints not on top of the UPS label. Yep you can cut it off. The guy I ordered from got narued due to age not what he was selling so he reups with an older age and changed his age on his website too but know it is a matter of time before they eventually stop him. That was last year and have not bothered to see if he is still selling or not. Fact is I haven't checked any of the sellers in a long time. Fluff you say you have been watching? Did any get narued you were watching?

Do you see the words 'FED EXP' on the margin of these labels?

given the misuse of the USPS tape and boxes in the past, it doesn't surprise me that FedEx would follow suit. it's a shame that some people abuse what they see as "free" supplies, so that the rest of us who play by the rules cannot obtain them or have a much harder time doing so.

I hold no sympathy for Fed Ex. Those *%#$^$$ not only lost the Christmas gifts for my kids, they delivered them to the wrong address and even got a plain as day signature that clearly showed that I was NOT the recipient. I will never recommend Fed Ex to anyone after the way they ruin Christmas for my kids. And to top it off, they won't tell me the address where they did drop them, in hopes I could go get them myself. Jerks.

One is no worst then the other. My neighbor ordered a small toy from Wally world. UPS delivered her a VCR/DVD combo unit. When she called UPS, they told her to drive 14 miles to the UPS Center and they would send the DVD/VCR combo back. She checked Wally World and that site said the her toy item WAS delivered. So, I think she is just gonna take the DVD/VCR and buy the toy with her profit from that.
We had one this summer ... ESTES delivered patio furniture that my wife ordered. Two days later ESTES called up asking if we were missing 4 chairs. Said no, they asked if we wanted them anyways. FREE CHAIRS...SURE...$80 each...NO PROBLEM..thanks. SAD part was, they didn't match the first set...wife ended up ordering a table to match them!!!

I bought some labels on ebay at impossibly cheap prices and they turned out to be: Shipped to me direct from Fedex!

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.
