I'm not sure where to start with the initials of the organization. Do you start at the top and go clockwise or do you start at the bottom? The side? And what about the initials in the middle? Does anyone recognize this? The very worn out ribbon just states Floor.

I wonder if it could be some sort of political button with the stylized S M standing for St. Paul MN. Perhaps the word 'floor' meant what standing the wearer had in the events they could attend? Just a wild and crazy idea on my part, no scientific or rational reasoning.

Pat: I'm sure you're right about "floor." I've had convention badges with that very word, and it meant I was authorized to be on the floor as a member of that convention.

Pat - You may have it. On the back is an advertisement for St. Paul Mn button mfg. They hosted the Republican National Convention in 1892.
