Can anyone translate this Japanese (or Chinese) writing? I suspect it's Japanese because the designs on the vase are cranes and lots of flowers. Domo Arigito for any help.

Thanks, hwahwa...perhaps it's a famous Japanese artist whose work is rare and greatly in demand? Any idea of the name so I can do some research? Thanks...

Isn't the middle word "the Great"? It's seen often in Japanese.
