Money pens only work on counterfeit paper not on altered bills.
If you handle much cash on a regular basis it's a good idea to take an online crash course in counterfeit/altered detection. It's becoming much too common and it really sucks to lose money that way.

It WAS prined on a REAL $5.....she, the teller marked both real and fake,,,,(BTW this drew quite a crowd around her window with MANY customers) the REAL one had a DARKER brown and the fake a much lighter, BUT you need a REAL one to compare....I had to sign some papaers, NOW I am on the GOV's list. hahahahahahaa......She said they MIGHT Call...MY comments on the form said, Got it at the POMONASWAPMEET Car Show....I bet ALOT of those forms will show up at the White House (with the fake 50) saying the SAME thing.....

In India, there are guys who go around different villages picking up old dirty torn 100 dollars or whatever the denomination is bills, they could be missing a corner here and there.
then they will have small children tear and mend them back, turning 5 torn bills into 6 torn bills.
Then they take these bills to the bank and exchange them for fresh ones.
This is how they turn 500 into 600,making 100 dollars profit.
