Once an unpaid item dispute is closed and a FVF is granted, can the "buyer" still leave feedback if they never responded to the dispute?
I've got two that deserve negs, but I don't want retalitory feedback coming my way.

Yes, they can still leave feedback as wrong as that sounds.

My understanding is that they cannot, if they never responded during the dispute. If they respond at all, even to say "Ha Ha", they can leave feedback.

I was wondering the same thing?
Doesn't seem right that they can get away with not paying and still leave you a negative.

Unless the NPB gave them a strike too many and they have been disabled from ebay itself. Check to see if they are still registered users.

So they can't leave a negative if they are no longer registered?

I wouldn't risk a negative from the buyer by leaving them a neg. Better to file for a FVF as that is where EBay loses the fee. That makes them pay attention IMHO

My one and only neg is from a non-paying bidder. Even after I got my fees back, she was able to give me a neg. As long as they are still registered and not a new eBayer, they can give you a neg.

If they are not registered they can't leave feedback but if they are not registered then it is kind of pointless to leave them one.
We don't leave negative feedbacks for non paying bidders but this is a point of contempt here in the office. I think, as a seller, it is part of my responsibility to let other sellers know the customers they are dealing with. I think it is only fair that if you don't pay you get a negative. I am getting a little tired, I don't know about any of you, of walking on eggshells to please some of these idiots to avoid a negative. Ebay needs to deal with just this issue. If they don't pay for an item they should not be allowed to leave any feedback regarding that item. You should however be able to neg feedback the heck out of them. That is just my opinion.

".....can the "buyer" still leave feedback if they never responded to the dispute?"

The comment will remain but the rating will go poof. (If you report it, of course.)

"Losing Feedback Privileges

When a buyer does not respond to an Unpaid Item notification and the seller issues an Unpaid Item strike against them, the buyer can still leave a feedback comment, but the feedback rating they leave for the transaction will not appear and will not count toward the seller’s feedback score.

An eBay administrative note will appear under the feedback comment, explaining that the member did not participate in the Unpaid Item process."

Quit being a Wuss and leave the feedback. They deserve it. I do it on every single one. Have I had retalitory negs? Yes, but very few. Five over the over 7 years I have been doing ebay. Not doing so only does a dis-service to all the other sellers on ebay. Please give me a warning this guy is a deadbeat. I will do the same for you.

I got a retaliatory negative just before they instigated the no count policy all I did was reply to the negative with they were the NPB . I would neg them big time. Chances are they probably won't bother to respond with a neg if they didn't even care to respond to the notice they got from ebay but you never know.

If a person deserves a neg I give it to them as I don't see their negative affecting my rating that much.

If they outbid people I usually give them Negative.

What I like is the excuses. It's always the same ones. Someone used my account to bid, or I was in the Hospital and very sick. Just tell me you changed your mind.

rshelby1.... I agree about the excuses. Have you ever run into so many people that have developed life threatening diseases, auto accidents, devastating family emergencies, deaths in the family, earthquakes, avalanches, as you have from buyers on Ebay??? I would never, ever use these excuses unless they were true for the fear of some twist of fate that would strike me. So, hoping that others feel the same way, I give them the benefit of the doubt, but boy, there are a lot of people out there with big troubles if even half of the excuses are true!!
