You know you've been on Ebay too long when you get a package and the first thing you think is "WOW what a great box!"

My family always laughs at me at Christmas as I grab boxes, bubble wrap, peanuts etc. before they get thrown in the garbage.

LOL. I buy postcards for our museum, and when a really good bubble envelope comes with one, I grab it and reuse it. Always looking for a way to reduce my overhead.

when you drive down the street on trash pickup day and study each box that is thrown out to see if you can use it. Also in the alleys behind stores.

My husband won't let me do that, and as I don't drive, I have to rely on him to take me. I do however go to the local appliance store, and go into their dumpster shed to find sheets of Syrofoam for lining boxes of china, my husband can go into the store and pretend he's not with me!

Furniture stores are the BEST for packing materials.

Our local store is so eager to give it away they say "can we help you load you up 'mam?"

You know you've been on Ebay too long when. . .you can't admire a piece of ______(insert porcelain, pottery, glass) at someone's house without first looking for the mark on the bottom! It's especially bad when you find yourself doing that at restaurants!

As you open your gift at Christmas or what ever and they tell you they put in plenty of packing materials for you to reuse.

Oh one other one when your kids open their presents you tell them you want the box back.

I've done this before, "cble", when visiting friends...and I've even been so bold as to suggest that if they ever want to "downsize", I'd be happy to sell the item on eBay!

you start a conversation with a total stranger at an auction two hours away from home, and he mentions one of the items he had listed on eBay the week before. Ah yes, I remember seeing those! Worst part? I even told him (correctly) what his Fixed Price price was ....

True story.

Honestly, I start feeling a bit ghoulish and greedy when I visit a friend's home, looking around for what I could sell. It's so ingrained by this time!

when you recognize a car that just pulled up to the same rummage sale as you, and jump out so fast you don't even turn your car off because that other guy "always grabs the good stuff first"

My wish comes true far too often

Then I KNOW it's time for a break!
