I just received an "end of auction" notice from eBay...the auction ended 7 January! Wonder if this an example of system improvements?

So did I! Scared me at first, thinking I'd double-listed an item I'd already sold.

PayPal is really slow on notices too. I found a payment this morning and have yet to receive a notice. Irks me to no end as I like to mail things pretty soon after payment.

This week I have received three Paypal payments with the notice arriving 3 days later. I would never have known except it was marked "paid" in My eBay and I verified with Paypal.

Grrrr!

We've also been getting some with "double" listing and sold notices. Have to compare the listing numbers to be sure something didn't get screwed up.

Maybe we're getting more and some aren't getting any?

Seriously though, we've had dry spells as well when we don't get any noticed or they're delayed.

Ah...but when I have contacted EBay about this they tell me it is MY problem..you know the routine ..MY ISP..MY cookies...MY computer system!! What can I say, It's all about ME!

There are 1703 posts on the Technical Board about it and EBay started that thread themselved in August 2003.

I started a new thread a few days ago on it. I go into PayPal now constantly to look for payments.

I am finding similar delays getting notices from Amazon for sold items. If these problems are seen from AMZN, PP and ebay it must really be ISP issues. Most probably part of their constant battle against spam.

Here's a new twist. I have been getting "You are the winning bidder" notices from ebay. Problem is, I am the seller.

I am not receiving any e-mail notices from Ebay regarding the last items sold from my Ebay Store beginning 1/31 and including today 2/1. I have e-mailed Ebay about this. Is anyone else having this problem?

I had the same problem a couple of months ago. Wrote about a dozen emails to eBay, and was told the same thing. My computer, cookies etc. We got a computer expert in, he told us there was nothing wrong with our computer, I had no notices at all for about 3 weeks. I had an old Hotmail account, so I changed my email address on eBay to that, and my notices started coming through on that right away. I waited a couple of days, and then went back to my old email address, and it's been fine every since. Eventually, eBay said that the problem was with them, and their engineers had corrected it.
