I can not believe this! I was adding a person to my Block list and guess what-MY LIST IS EMPTY. NO,
I did not have over 1000.
This is ridiculous. Has this ever happened to any of you?

yep, it happened to me a few years back. i was able to briefly access my bbl again but i forget how - seems to me like i logged in via a different computer, although i don't know why that would make any difference.
since then, i go in every few months and save the list to a text file in notepad, name it by date, such as blocked-bidder-list-02-28-07.txt, and save a copy at go daddy, in a backup folder.

It's no biggie if your BBL gets nuked by eBay's latest "upgrade" - simply use your backup list on your computer or your weekly CD/DVD backup session. Only takes a few minutes incremental backup every week to save years of data...

Ebay does this more often than you think. If you remember, most everyone on these boards has stated in the past to copy your list to your computer. That way, when ebay deletes them, as they often do, you can simply open your file on your computer and copy them back to your file on ebay.

Can't help you, but thanks for reminding me to update my backup. One of the problems with this kind of backup is that, while I do PC and file server backups regularly, this file is stored remotely, and it frequently slips my mind.

It has happened to me a couple of times. I just keep a Word file, and every time I add a name to the Blocked bidder list, I add it to my file, and then if I need to, I can just paste and copy it back. It is interesting to go over the names on the list and see how many are NARU'd.
