I sell to Canada & United Kingdom since Paypal confirmed addresses are provided for those two countries. However Paypal states in case of a dispute, a tracking # will have to be provided. I use USPS and tracking # are not possible with Airmail Letter Post or Parcel Post for these two countries. Was wondering how other people are handling this situation. Thanks for any help

either I use added REGISTERED MAIL in addition (add $7.90) to AIRMAIL LETTER or, I ship GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL which has tracking, but very expensive...

ABOVE ONLY for high value items -- WHAT is the amount value of yer item? What is yer RISK TOLERANCE?

Some say the CUSTOMS FORM'S number tracks, but this has never tracked for me past the USA oint of departure...

"Does Paypal accept registered mail number??"

As far as I can tell, PayPal does NOT accept ANY numbers for ANYTHING...

HOWEVER, in order to qualify for so-called "protection" under PayPal's SELLER'S UN-PROTECTION POLICY, you must provide proof of shipping that is demonstrable via ONLINE TRACKING...

As far as ME-&-RALPHIE can determine, for INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, ye are THUSLY limited to REGISTERED MAIL or GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL (NOT global PRIORITY mail), as these two methods are the only that provide the ability for ONLINE TRACKING...

If registered mail number is trackable online,it is cheaper than Global express mail for seller protection.
Insurance is good if the buyer is willing to work with you to file for insurance.
Or you can buy insurance for your own protection,if he wins the Paypal case, you can get the money back from your insurer.

Well, I ship to the UK and Canada (plus the Rest of the World) without online tracking yet enjoy trouble-free international sales. Never had a chargeback or payment reversal in 7+ years of international sales. Have had the occasional package delayed in Customs or returned for "incorrect address", but always got the package delivered in the end. What's my secret? No PayPal!

I did offer PayPal for international transactions, but most buyers baulked at paying $30+ for track-n-trace for the convenience and safety of using PayPal to buy from a seller with 100% feedback. Of course as a seller based in New Zealand I wasn't covered by PayPal's Seller Protection so there was little to no benefit for me, except with collecting payments from buyers in the USA and Canada. All other countries were happy to pay by bank transfer, bank check or draft, or occasionally well-concealed cash sent direct to my bank in their region for deposit.

I figured long ago - why allow a third party to dictate how I can run my business. I make my policy to allow return or replacements if damaged or lost in transit and the buyer notifies and cooperates with their Post Office for an insurance claim. I also ship within one business day of payment being confirmed, and have numerous feedback as to the "fast shipping" and "well packaged" service I try to provide. Works for me.
