Every time I list a certain book, I get a pleading letter from a lady in Germany who just has to have it.
I do not ship internationally and I do not make exceptions.
If someone who does do business world-wide wants to buy this book from me at half my current asking price, then relist it, you've got a pretty sure sale. You might even mark it up considerably and slap a best offer on it. I would.

I have many customers who buy from me on eBay and then turn around and try to sell the same item on eBay. They usually mimic my terms (domestic shipping only) but obviously they raise the price. Sometimes this works but more often it doesn't. I don't mind it unless they steal my pictures.
It would be way smarter for these folks to offer my jewelry internationally. There's no chance of competition from the wholesaler (ME!) and as others have pointed out from time to time, foreign buyers will often pay more.
For frequent buyers, I offer discounts of 10 to 30% via Best Offer.

how odd fluffy. is this like the only book of it's kind in the world?
did anybody else notice the ebay announcements for half.com? it'd be nicer if the results were listed within ebay but oh well.....
"Hi everyone…I'm Raj Reddy from the Half.com team here with Chung Cheong from the eBay Express team, and we've got some good news for Half.com sellers. A few months ago Bill Cobb announced that we were exploring ways to increase exposure for Half.com listings. Chung and I are pleased to let you know that one important new channel for your Half.com listings is about to launch. Starting in April, your listings on Half.com can also be included on eBay Express.
Sellers – How to get your Half.com items included on eBay Express
We've made the process for getting your Half.com listings on eBay Express as simple as possible. If you and your listings qualify under the eBay Express criteria, all you have to do is opt-in here.
By opting in, you'll get these benefits:
# Instant exposure for your Half.com listings to a whole new marketplace with millions of shoppers
# All your new qualifying Half.com listings will appear automatically, so there's no need to change your current listing process
# Payments for your items will happen automatically at the time of sale, and be available to you immediately in your PayPal account. (Normal PayPal transaction fees apply.)
Get 50% Off your Final Value Fees
As an added bonus, if you opt-in before April 15th, you'll get 50% off your Final Value Fees for any of your Half.com listings that sell on eBay Express through the end of June. As usual there are no insertion fees for your Half.com listings. And, for a limited time, now you can save on the Final Value Fees, too!"
