I'm pretty sure this pin comes from Mexico. It's marked ".925". Does anyone recognize the maker's/artist's mark? Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure why you think it's Mexican. It doesn't look like any Mexican jewelry I've ever seen. Also, I've never seen a piece of Mexican jewelry that didn't say "Mexico" on it somewhere.

Does not look Mexican to me either. Should be stamped with Mexico or Hecho en Mexico and have government assigned silversmith stamp consisting of 2 letters followed by a dash and numbers. 925 for sterling is used worldwide except in the US where sterling is the appropriate stamp.

Actually, the info you all gave IS most helpful...the lady this piece belonged to had several other silver pieces..one is marked "Mexico" (although style is considerably different) so I thought maybe this piece was also from Mexico...that will teach me to make assumptions. Thanks for the help...appreciate it!
