In response to a query on the SMME boards, EdCS stated " ... This neglected area will be updated soon, as the Vendio/Andale sites become one."

Vendio/Andale as one site? Will there be price increases? What do you think?

The last time I checked Andale was set up to charge based on the number of listings. They were way too expensive for me and I've wondered what Vendio will do with the fees ever since I heard they had purchased Andale.

I agree. The pricing is way too high. I just checked on an Andale store - $9.95/month + 5% FVF + $89.95 (Andale lister-1100 listings) + $37.50 (1000 images-50MB) + $7.50 (Andale checkout-40 checkouts + 0.30 each additional)= you do the math.

And, for the clincher -

"The 1100 Listings Quick Pack

• Customer Manager
• Store
• 1100 Checkouts
• Research
• Counters
• Reports
• 50 MB
• 1100 Listings
• Gallery
• Sales Analyzer

Save $43.15/mo

$229.95/month (Reg. $273.10)"

Yikes!!!

And I had to quit using Channel Advisor when they raised their fees to $99 for 1000 listings a month.

It looks like everyone will be stuck with Ebays listing tools before long. (unless others are making a whole lot more than I am)

Okay, so refresh my memory, please.

Why do you need to use Vendio/Andale/Channel Advisor? To make it simple, list three things your AMS (auction management service) provides that you can't live without.

Fluff....you already know the answer. It is convenience.

One nice and easy place where everything is stored and easily accessible to revise, list, schedule etc.

If you schedule on Ebay it costs money. If you add extra pix on Ebay it costs money.

But, for those fees I'm sure most will find a different way to do things.

"Ai! Carrumba!"

Ralphie made me DUMP CA when they went to $30/month, which we decided was OUTRAGEOUS at the time -- but? $99 for 1000 listings? Yeah, right! About the same time ya see a V-formation of pigs flying over the white cliffs of Dover, fahting "SOME SUNNY DAY" in unison!

Unfortunately, my old reliable AMS went by the wayside and suddenly disappeared last fall, but I STILL miss the ka-ching! when something got a bid -- especially amusing at the last few minutes of a killer auction.

That, dear friends, was worth every penny of the annual $50 or whatever sub price I paid (and it sniped, scheduled, created auctions, provided templates, relisted, sent emails, inventory, profit and loss, cost analysis, kept track of eBay and PP fees ... all good things, but sadly gone).

So, does anyone else have a ka-ching?

I was wrong. Made a slight mistake there.

1000 listings a month was only $54.95.

2000 listings a month was $99 a month. Each additional listing per month was $.06.
And, you could only use 250 MB of space.

My store usually has 2800 to 3500 items in it and I will be expanding that to 5000 soon.

So, Andale and CA were a definite no go for me!

Hopefully there won't be an increase or if there is it won't be too much.
When are they merging?
