Buyer purchases with a Best Offer Item number: 130048276581. This was 2/12. Never responds to me or to the ebay emails. Filed a NPB on 3/8. She didn't respond to any of that so received my final value fees and I left negative feedback and put her on my blocked bidders list.

Then, she responds that she wants the item. I do not respond to her emails. Yesterday I got a money order sent Priority, delivery confirmation from her for the item.

Today I get an email from her saying: you got my money, when are you going to ship the ad and tell eBay to remove the npb strike?

I really don't want to sell this to her, I think she is trouble.

Your opinions valued!

If it's a money order... go ahead and deposit it. Wait a bit, and as long as it's not a fake... go ahead and ship the item. To be fair, I'd remove the unpaid item strike, but wouldn't change the feedback. Since she didn't respond to the Unpaid Item process, she won't be able to leave you feedback.

Honestly, I don't really see what you have to lose...

p.s...

I forgot to mention... this is the whole reason why I go through the Unpaid Item process. Let's face it... the amount of work it takes to complete one isn't really worth the small portion of fees that eBay gives us back. My hope every time I file an UID is that the bidder will eventually pay! About 25-30% of mine usually pay right after the UID is filed, another 5-10% pay after the dispute has been closed (because they want the strike removed). Looks like that's what happened here. You should be happy! Take the money!!

I feel you owe this person absolutely nothing !!!!!
Keep the MO..., tear it up .....you owe her NOTHING !

The auction was over, you took care of it...the TERMS were yours not hers.

I personally would send it back in my own sweet time and ignore any emails or other contact with her.

Since indeed she can't leave you FB, I'm with eauction on this one. A sale is a sale, especially with a money order and not a PP payment laden with pitfalls. Why make an enemy when you can make a profit? You can't change the FB, and you can't mutually ask for removal, so there you go -- I would in all fairness remove the NPB, but keep her on my blocked list. Or is there a downside here I'm not seeing?

Well I suppose you could tell the customer, sorry the item has been sold to someone else and return her money.
Or you could just mail her the item and everyone is happy.
One never knows what circumstances may have occured on the other end of the deal, sickness, computer crash, several bad hair days in row, brain farts, etc. You have an outstanding sales & FB record keep up the good work!

Jeez, I'd keep the money, making sure it's not fake, and send her the item. Why not?!! I haven't liked every buyer I've sold to, but a profit is a profit.

Just an update and it is nice to see that they acknowlege that they cannot leave feedback.

The Unpaid Item strike has been removed for the buyer for this transaction:

1904 Rare Color Ad McIlhenny's McIlhenny Tabasco (# 130048276581) sold to bbyfrankenstein on Feb-12-2007.

The buyer will be notified that eBay has removed the Unpaid Item strike. However, since your buyer did not participate in the Unpaid Item process, the rating that they choose for this transaction will not appear. Your Final Value Fee credit, if any, is reversed.

I get money orders and bank checks from USA customers all the time. Haven't had a counterfeit one yet, but I do check that the usual security features are in place. Printed on security paper, watermark, and indented numerical amount plus any heat sensitive or holographic logo...

Customers from most other countries don't have to go through the inconvenience of getting MOs or checks as they mostly pay by bank transfer or send the funds direct to my bank. A few used to send me cash in the mail, but now I ask them to mail it direct to my bank instead so there are no disputes on the amount enclosed.

She can still leave feedback but only the comment will appear, not the rating, and eBay will attach a note to the comment that explains why the rating does not show.

Same thing happened to me, the payment came after the dispute was closed and I received my FVF. I just marked the envelope "refused" and that was the end of the story. Isn't it interesting that a seller could send friendly reminders about late or no payment but most jump to attention when a dispute is initiated. They sure don't want the "black mark on their permanent record" do they!

well I guess you could cash it then wait 5 weeks to mail it like she waited to pay.

I once sent a check back that was sent to me like this and said item was no longer available waited a week to return it.

Funny how she sent it priority with delivery confirmation but could not bother to pay in timely manner.
