I featured a listing last night and started it really really low hoping to get early bids. It should end at $300 plus. I worked on it for 2 or 3 hours yesterday - launched it - checked it out and it looked pretty good but I was getting no hits so I check to see "where is your item" and ebay couldn't even find it.
Live help was their normal "NO HELP" - only said they couldn't find it either. I called the phones I had and felt like I was in the Twightlight Zone or something. What I assume was a live person keep sending me back to "Use the live help". I emailed and got their cut & paste standard no help reply. So now what - can't decide if I should let it ride or what.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on what to do now?

I listed one over 3 1/2 hrs ago through Ebay and it appears nowhere on ebay- not even in sellers listings. It is in "MyEbay" and I got e-mail confirmation. Seems to be an Ebay problem.

Could there be a VERO word that delays indexing? The word "coach" in postcard listings delays indexing - even if it refers to a stage coach.

It finally showed after about 15 hours. As soon as it showed - I got a bid - by this morning I had 3 so I really feel like I would have had at least 5 or 6 by now.
Ebay still has not replied to any of my emails-only their generic email. I guess we as sellers are just on our own when there is a problem.
Pixie - that's a good point - if that does take the item out to the search, well that's just wrong too. Pull it later if you must ebay - but don't rob me of bids by taking the item out of search.
I just got my "On 03/29/2007, we replied to an email message you sent to customer support. As part of eBay's commitment to excellence, we want to make sure our response met your needs. Would you please take a few minutes to answer some questions about your overall experience and the specific eBay Representative who responded to you?"
ebay's commitment to excellence - WHAT?

Newly listed item does not show up immediately or shortly after it is listed,it has always been the case, except now the Ebay data base is so HUGE,it takes longer to be included in the search.
But if you go to your category ,you should find it under 'newly listed'.

I found mine on all key word title pages this am and in the category pages. Only trouble is that the auction pages shows it as being listed 6 hrs. earlier ( correct time) than the time listed on search pages. Certainly that would show that Ebay has a glitch somewhere

That might explain how my big lot of COACH handbags didn't get nary a nibble after 48 hours.

Coach ... aha! I know now why I never got any lookers on a folk art horse and coach piece! Any other horrid words to stay away from?

I had more than 24 hour delay on a "Horse and Coach @ xxxxx" postcard I listed.
I also had a day's delay on a Mont Blanc (as in the mountain - not the pen) postcard.

I guess that was part of my problem too. Not Coach but another designer name in my title. Why don't they warn us about this?

Because people might then stop listing such things. I know I won't be putting my Coach lot back up.

I experienced a half day delay when I listed some vintage Gucci buttons.

My little listing did not have a single Vero word in it.
