And I can just imagine how many little old ladies bought cards from Mr. Murray during the holidays. I sold a couple of Christmas Card Sample Books (probably same era and very similar to these) on eBay a few years back and they did quite well. There are people who like to collect those old salesman card samples. Don't know what you'd do with a book of old cards. I'd probably pull them all out and send them to friends.
