For those of you who like to use your Paypal debit card as credit card when you go shopping and get 1 1/2% rebate,this question is for you-
Say I have 200 dollars in my Paypal account and I want to purchase 500 dollars worth of goods,would the transaction go through and we get an email from Paypal asking us to transfer 300 dollars from our bank account?
See,most of us are paying Paypal 2.99 % to accept Paypal payments,this 1 1/2% rebate sure help,it knocks 1.49 % off Paypal fee!

It used to be that it would not go through,as you only have 200.
Now it will go through if you have listed some other: bank,CC as back up funding.
I think that you will only get the 1.5% on the 200 you had in PP.

thanks for your reply.
Paypal money market mutual fund is now paying over 5%,but we all know what could happen to fund sitting in Paypal account,I just dont feel comfortable leaving too much money in my Paypal account!
