I just got an e-mail from these people:
[email protected]
Special today: 250 of these mailers for $29.99, free shipping. That's a little more than 10 cents apiece. I can't use that size, but perhaps someone here can.

If this doesn't work, go to ShopFamilyFun.com; on their home page is a link at the right for the special offer.

The bubble mailer sale is over. There's a note (added today, I believe) that says the offer ends June 10, 2007.
I ordered six cases and got an additional $5.00 off.
I don't see how these folks could possibly have made any money on this, but I'm happy.

I'm glad you could take advantage of that sale. It was probably a loss leader to get people interested in their site.

Don't forget that those bubble mailers now have to be mailed as a PACKAGE - too thick for letter rate (MAX 1/4" thick) and too SMALL for large envelope (Min 6 1/8 x 12" ). I am getting KILLED using bubbles to mail my multiple orders.

Wish I had seen this earlier. I just order a case from Uline. They were a couple of dollars cheaper but I had to pay shipping

No kidding. My postage expense more than doubled.
It has made me a lot more careful about watching pennies. Used to be I just figured each jewelry parcel (unless noticeably heavy) was 2 oz because I didn't want to take the time to weigh each one. Now I'm finding that at least half are 1 oz or under, which is 17 cents less.
As far as I can tell, the main reason for the last USPS increase was to sock it to online merchants in such a vicious and insidious way that the Average Joe won't complain. Oh, sure, first class letter rate went up too, but people are conditioned to expect that every couple of years. If first class letter rate had DOUBLED, they'd hear screams in Washington 24/7.
