look at site visit stats on Alexa

Instead of spending time surfing ebay and impulse shipping, people are now viewing youtube and myspace.

No, people who downloaded and use the Alexa toolbar now browse YouTube and MySpace instead of eBay.

You always have to take Alexa numbers with a grain of salt roughly the size of the Blarney Stone.

I don't know anyone who has ever even considered using Alexa software on their computer and I doubt very much their claim of "millions" of users.

It's like the J.D Power awards: Who gives a crap what a company thinks when the sole reason for their existence is to give out awards? Based on WHAT?

When you consider how many people navigate ebay everyday, 2% of the people are going to contact eBay. That means there is a significant number of people that are complaining and eBay isn't listening.
