An elderly friend of mine had a doll store. She made most of the dolls herself...used traditional German molds and made the heads from porcelain and painted them herself. She bought vintage eyes (in some cases) and had a lady friend make clothes. I'm not an expert but think her dolls are really quite nice.
I have several questions...Are dolls like this marketable/desirable on eBay? If so, what category would I list them in? Reproduction? Artist OOK? My friend is not "famous" and I don't think her name would be known. But, I DO think her dolls are quite exceptional. Any help/guidance would be appreciated...Thanks!

The dolls are reproductions unless the maker designed the molds; they probably shouldn't be described as One of a Kind unless she has the only molds.
I have no idea whether porcelain reproduction dolls are marketable; lots of people make them (really) but I don't think they're particularly saleable unless made by a known artist.

Thanks, all, for input. I did check the "One of a Kind" entries...prices varied widely so was difficult to make any kind of generalization. I don't know what prices she was asking for in her store...I just met her for the first time today but will ask her next time we meet. Guess I'll just try one or two to see what happens...Thanks again!

Probably not necessary to add here, but I surely would have a closeup photo in the auction of just the doll's face, if it's wonderful.
