I think I've found a way to drive traffic to my Vendio store, which I've never invested time in. I have a few questions which I'm sure have been answered before but that I ignored. Thanks for your patience. If I have a Vendio store that mirrors my eBay store, do I still save 75% FVF if they enter eBay through my Vendio link? Can I offer discounts above shipping costs if they use Vendio checkout? Can I offer GooglePay in Vendio checkout? TIA.

No, Google Checkout is not offered now. Apparently it will be according to this - http://www.vendio.com/solutions/vendio_complete.html.

No, you do not receive the FVF credit when the buyer buys an ebay item from your Vendio provided link. The reason for that is Vendio gets a commission on the sale from eBay through Commission Junction. Last year I asked for the 75% FVF link and it was one of those topics sent to the product manager for evaluation (thrown in garbage can).

Yes, you can offer discounts on shipping if they use Vendio. Perhaps free shipping. The item will have to be listed separately in SMIE, or SMME. Per ebay policy, you can't list an item in the Vendio store for less than ebay listing (of course, ebay is only a venue).

I would wait for whatever is planned for stores because changes are coming to Vendio stores - use this time as a way to test your ideas.

Thanks, Bill. I now see little point in directing folks to my Vendio store if Vendio pockets the FVF savings instead of me! It looks like I need to develop my own off eBay store to save any money.

Not that I doubt you on this but where is this tidbit hidden in the e-bay only a venue rules?

Wow, you almost had me there. Regarding venue, you can find the following statement in the "Liability" section of the Policy -

" ... the Sites are a venue to allow anyone to offer, sell, and buy just about anything, at anytime, from anywhere, in a variety of pricing formats and venues, such as stores, fixed price formats and auction-style formats. We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. We have no control over and do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of items advertised, the truth or accuracy of listings, the ability of sellers to sell items, the ability of buyers to pay for items, or that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction."

And, I am searching for the policy regarding pricing. Since the user agreement is a jumble of added policies, it is going to take a while. I know it is there. I read it myself.

I know what you mean, i have been selling for 8 yrs and each day i find some other carp that could be a big pit fall.

As far as selling things in my vendio store i have in the past sold things at a lesser value than in my ebay store. the fees are the price breaker so vendio is the way to go on some of these items

There are a couple of ways to handle the situation. I have thought about shipping for free, or I could keep the two stores separate (no gallery connection, no ebay listing on Vendio store, and no connection on the About Me page). That way, you would be able to follow your own pricing policies.

If the ebay move to drop keywords on google holds, we could buy keywords on google for our Vendio stores. We would not have ebay as a competitor.
